MV Queen Scuba

The Interior:

The saloon onboard MV Queen Scuba is very comfortable with large panoramic windows and TV/DVD/music entertainment centre, a full selection of marine life books & diving magazines and also some novels. There is also a shaded outside dive deck area (dining area) with outside seating. Upstairs there's plenty of room for sun worshippers on the large 60-sqm sundeck. There is also a very large bench in front of the Captain's Cabin, perfect to sit and watch where the boat is heading. This is also the dedicated smoking area; however non-smokers are of course welcome!

The MV Queen Scuba liveaboard is a very large boat with plenty of space to chill out between the dives, whether you want to sunbathe, read a book or watch some of the latest premiere movies in the saloon.

The dive deck:

MV Queen Scuba proudly boasts the largest dive platform in South East Asia, it consists of a very wide and spacious kitting-up area on two levels with a separate entry/exit platform, 2-exit ladders and 2-fresh water showers to rinse yourself or your equipment after the dives. You will also find 2-large buckets with fresh water for rinsing cameras, dive computers and torches.

MV Queen Scuba has an excellent air station with 2-compressors and the tanks are all refilled in the racks without removing your gear, so there is no unnecessary moving around. Once the dive equipment has been put together on the first day, one can relax for the entire trip as the tanks will be refilled again and again by the friendly staff onboard. MV Queen Scuba also carries a Nitrox blending system onboard and tanks can be filled with whatever mixture you desire up to 40% Oxygen. The well-trained diving staff are certified as gas blenders to ensure safety. If you are not yet certified as a Nitrox diver, then this can easily be done during the dive trip.

For divers without their own dive computers, Suunto Dive Computers are available for rent on the liveaboard boat. This is optional, but it is strongly recommended to rent one of these for your own safety. The dive staff will explain very thoroughly how these work before the diving begins.

For more information about MV Queen Scuba, see the technical details below .

Diving courses onboard:

There is a wide range of PADI dive courses available onboard MV Queen Scuba, so if you want to gain some extra diving knowledge, the staff are able to teach everything from Advanced Open Water Diver, to Deep, Peak Performance Buoyancy, Multilevel and Enriched Air (Nitrox) specialties, see the price list below .

Food & drinks:

The Cook onboard is very experienced, he previously worked at one of the 5-star Hotels in Patong Beach; he can cook everything from traditional Western food to the more spicy Thai dishes. Fresh seasonal fruits and snacks are also served every day.

• Mixed Thai/Western dinner, Thai lunch and American breakfast.
• Buffet-style service on top deck - choose from at least four main dishes with rice and salad.
• All dietary requirements can be catered for - please send us your requirements.
• Dinner is also provided on the first evening of the cruise after departure.
• Operator rates their dining as "very good" and the second most important aspect of the cruise.
• Coffee, tea, hot chocolate, water, sweets, snacks and biscuits are provided free of charge.
• Soft drinks (free), beer (70 Baht) and wine (600 Baht) are available.

Note:

We can not take responsibility for the dive schedule or itinerary changes due to natural disasters, political situations, changing weather or other events beyond our control. You should hold or purchase travel insurance, which should cover you anywhere in the world and if it doesn't cover diving activities, then we recommend that you have DAN or other diving accident insurance up to date. Please check this in case of an unexpected evacuation or other treatment that may not be covered by your regular insurance.
