Enjoy the Andaman Sea aboard the liveaboard Pawara. The boat set sail for the first time in February 2006. She is a one of a kind, custom built diving vessel that combines the modern amenities of today's living and Thai craftsmanship. Pawara is extremely spacious. With her 35 meter long and 7 meter wide steel hull, she provides a stable platform from which to explore the Andaman Sea. Pawara is a Thai-Sanskrit word, which means ‘Treasures of the Corals’.
Pawara has 10 cabins for a maximum of 20 Guests. There are 2 Master double bed cabins on the main deck along with 4 Deluxe twin cabins. You will find 4 Standard Twin cabins on the lower deck. Be aware that the headroom on the lower deck will not suit tall people! Every cabin has individually controlled air conditioning as well as en suite facilities. |

Trip Information
- Pawara normally departs from Chalong Bay in Phuket
- Pick up time on evening of departure : 4:30 pm from Sunrise Divers office - between 4:30 and 5pm in Phuket. You can be picked up from your hotel.
- Pick up from Phuket International Airport - Please ask us about taxi transfers
- Please advise us as early as possible where you wish to be picked up from. Thank you!
- First night of the trip : Dinner will be served on the boat.
- Return time to Phuket on the last day, about 6pm. You can be transferred to the hotel of your choice.
- Last dive time : About 11am.
- Remember to allow 24 hours before flying!
Included in the trip price
- Transfers, all meals on board, drinking water, tea, coffee, towel, tanks, weights, torches for night dives, divemaster service on all dives.
Notes: If you have any special food needs, please let us know in advance.
- Meals are a mix of Thai and European food served buffet style. 3 meals per day plus fruits.
- Tanks are 12 litre aluminium with K (INT) valves. DIN adaptors can be rented.
Not included
- Rental Equipment @ 700 Baht/day for a full set. Equipment can be arranged at our office in Phuket. If you cannot come here to try gear, and need rental, please let us know sizes, and we will ask the tour leader to collect rental money on the boat in cash Thai Baht.
- Rental wetsuits are shorty 3mm. We do not have full length suits for rent. Water temp is between 27 - 30 degrees C.
- Rental fins are full foot. We do not have adjustable fins and boots for rent.
- Similan/Surin/Hin Daeng National Park entry fees payable in cash, in Baht only on board.
- Drinks - Beers and Sodas etc are for sale on the boat. Your cabin has a minibar.
- Advanced Open Water course (PADI) is available on board - ask your tour leader |

The 35 square meter lounge is located on the Upper Deck. Here you can unwind from a days diving in a comfortable and air-conditioned room with a variety of indoor board games and TV/Video/DVD/CD/Karaoke facilities provided. A personal computer is also available for downloading of digital pictures onto CD’s. Fax and internet access are available, depending on location.
Our bridge, or the Captain’s control room, is well equipped with a full range of state-of-the-art navigation equipment. From here, the Captain will get an all around view, including views from monitoring cameras located in the engine room and the diving platform. The Captain is a local who has had plenty of sailing experience and is an expert when it comes to venturing the Andaman Sea.
Apart from the private shower & toilet facilities in your cabin, a common shower and toilet room is also provided by the large and organised dive equipment area for even more convenience.
5 meals are served per full day. Meals will vary each day and will comprise of Thai cuisines, fresh seafood, and international dishes. Our cook will ensure that you are well looked after for every meal on board. Food will be attentively prepared to suit your requirement. Snacks, tea, coffee, soft drinks are available throughout the day |
