to Khao Lak FROM
PHUKET
Just 1 hour north of Phuket airport is located the beautiful seaside
town of Khao Lak. The route that approaches Khao Lak passes by numerous
rice fields and plantations of coconut & rubber trees before the
landscape twists and unwinds through tropical forest. Beyond this is
the Khao Lak Coastline comprising of 12 Km’s of glorious beaches
.
Coral Grand Divers is situated on the east side of the main road in
an open aired unique building next to the liveliest spot in Khao Lak
-the Happy Snapper Bar & Restaurant.
FROM BANGKOK ,SURAT THANI
& CHUMPHON
Buses and trains depart regularly from Bangkok to Surat Thani &
Chumphon where there are buses that will go straight to Phuket or a
Small town called Takuapa. Thirty kilometres south from Takuapa, Highway
4 passes directly through the heart of Khao Lak, on its way to Phuket.
All the regular buses running between Phuket and Ranong, Surat Thani
and Takuapa pass the turn off to Khao Lak.
FROM KRABI / PHANG-NGA
If you are coming from either of these places you should take a bus
as far as Khokkloi bus terminal and switch to a Takuapa or Ranong bus.
You’ll need to tell the driver you are going to Khao Lak and he’ll
stop the bus and let you off at the Nang thong Supermarket. From there
it is just a 100 metre stroll north until you reach the Dive shop. |
